About

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) is an initiative of National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. Aim of IEDC is to develop an institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in academic institutions to foster growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the Faculty and students.

The IEDC envisions fostering and developing an environment where the students who have the passion of becoming an Entrepreneur can enhance their Entrepreneurial skills to turn Innovative Ideas into Start Ups and thus creating a better future.

The IEDC also aims to is to make the students vigilant about the Entrepreneurial path and inspire them by organizing Guest Lectures by Eminent Entrepreneurs, Conducting various Workshops & brain storming sessions to sheen the Innovative Business Ideas into Start Ups and make the students Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually strong and balanced by Imparting Motivational Lectures and Soft Skills Training Programs.

To become a self sustained centre catering to the needs of young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of national /international importance and societal needs.

Mission

To develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in academic institutions to foster growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the faculty and students.

Objectives

  1. To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information on all aspects of enterprise building to budding S&T entrepreneurs.
  2. To create Entrepreneurial culture in the Parent Institution and other institutions in the region and to promote the objectives of NSTEDB, including programmes related to women and weaker sections of the society.
  3. To inculcate a culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student projects.
  4. To catalyse and promote development of S&T knowledge-based enterprises and promote employment opportunities in the innovative areas.
  5. To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities both at national and international level relating to SMEs and micro enterprises.
